Mit den sechs Songs der EP \u201eKill the Sun\u201c verzichten Cane Hill auf alles, was den Sound des aus New Orleans stammenden Quartets bisher ausmachte. Keine brettharten Metal-Riffs, keine Hardcore-Shouts und kein davonpreschender Rhythmus. Statt dessen gibt es klare und intensive Vocals, teils akustisch gespielte Gitarren, experimentelle Instrumentierungen und jede Menge d\u00fcster-athmosph\u00e4rischer Elektronikkl\u00e4nge. So wechseln Cane Hill geschickt das Fach, vom Post-Hardcore zum industrial-angehauchten Indiesound. Der neue Stil wei\u00df zu \u00fcberzeugen, ist klar und pr\u00e4gnant produziert und bringt das Songwriting-Talent der Jungs viel besser zur Geltung als es im Metalgewand m\u00f6glich war.
